A taste of rope: online course for beginners

Begin without pressure

This self-paced introduction is for people who are drawn to rope but do not yet know where to begin. I take you through the essentials in a sequence you can pause, repeat and practise in your own space.

What you will learn

You will meet basic safety principles, rope handling and simple techniques that can become the beginning of a shared language. The aim is not to memorise decorative patterns as quickly as possible. It is to understand what your hands are doing.

How I teach

I demonstrate each element clearly, then place it in the context of pace, communication and sensation. Technical instruction matters, but it becomes far more useful when you can adapt it to the person in front of you.

Work slowly, use the safety guidance and repeat lessons before adding complexity. Online teaching cannot see what is happening in your room, so you remain responsible for checking comfort, circulation and consent as you practise.

Who it is for

No previous Shibari experience is required. The course suits curious partners and individual learners who want a thoughtful first encounter before deciding how much further they wish to go.
